Scale bar: 1.0 mm. Type material . Female holotype from Cuba , Santiago de Cuba , Pico Turquino , 6000 ft , 16–17.VI.1936 , P.F. Darlington, deposited in MCZ 79122. Etymology. The species name is a toponym in apposition referring to the type locality. Diagnosis . The female of Ohvida turquino sp. nov. resembles those of O. fulvorufa by the shape of the lateral spurs, but can be distinguished by presence of two small projections on the posterior area of the median plate and by the depressed area of the median plate ( Fig. 7 A). Description. Female ( holotype ). Total length 11.90. Carapace 6.10 long, 4.40 wide. Clypeus 0.15 high. Eye diameter: AME 0.18, ALE 0.16, PME 0.22, PLE 0.22. Leg measurements: I: femur 4.70/ patella 2.30/ tibia 4.10/ metatarsus 3.30/ tarsus 1.40/ total 15.80; II: 4.30/ 2.20/ 3.70/ 3.00/ 1.30/ 14.50; III: 4.00/ 1.70/ 2.80/ 3.10/ 1.40/ 13.00; IV: 4.90/ 2.00/ 4.30/ 4.90/ 1.50/ 17.60. Leg spination: tibia I and II v2-2 -2-2-2, r0, p0, III and IV v2-2 -2, r1-1, p1-1; metatarsus I, II v2-2 -2, r0, p0; III v2-2 -2, r1-1-1, p-1-1-1, IV v1-1 -1-1-1-2, r1-1-1, p1-1-1. Epigyne: spermathecae divided in two parts ( Fig. 7 B). Distribution . Cuba ( Fig. 15 B).
