First record of the genus Chandleriella Hlaváč (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Pselaphinae) from China, with description of a second species Author Yin, Zi-Wei text Zootaxa 2019 2019-03-27 4571 3 432 438 journal article 27826 10.11646/zootaxa.4571.3.11 b0db8ace-0d46-4ca4-9eea-d4ca5a9f9719 1175-5326 2612667 5A3C58E5-387C-40EE-A0EA-E817E53076F7 Chandleriella termitophila ( Bryant, 1915 ) ( Fig 4 ) Lasinus termitophilus Bryant, 1915 : 300 . Chandleriella termitophila : Hlaváč 2000 : 91 (as new genus and new combination). Comments. When Bryant (1915: 298) described Lasinus termitophilus , he erroneously referred to his material as female (see Hlaváč 2000 ). Besides, Bryant did not mention the number of the specimens he examined nor did he explicitly fix a name bearing type. With an assumption that other specimens may exist, the single male deposited in the Natural History Museum, London must be treated as a syntype . According to Articles 74.6 and 74.7 of ICZN (1999) , the treatment of Hlaváč (2000: 91) of this male as the ‘holotype’ is considered a misuse of the term, and has no validation in type fixation. This species is characterized and can be separated from the new species described below mainly by the enlarged male antennomere XI that lacks any obvious modification. Distribution. East Malaysia : Borneo ( Fig. 4 ).
