Notes on the species.
This species is identified by the characteristic pharyngeal musculature associated with the lack of teeth and jaws (
Richardson 1969
). A specimen was dissected to examine the internal organs.
Haemopis grandis
is previously unreported in Newfoundland and Labrador.
