General distribution.
This species is known throughout the Palaearctic temperate forest zone (
Nikitsky & Pollock 2008
), but has a discontinuous distribution.
Notes.
This species is insufficiently known in
Lithuania
and seems to be very rare. It is widely regarded as a rare saproxylic species, and a relict of primeval forests (
Kaszab 1969
