Comments:
Simons (1969)
recorded this species from
Alabama
in an unpublished thesis, and there are also a number of recent photographs of this species from
Alabama
as well as
South Carolina
(
Meeds & Bertone 2021
).
Barton & Lee (1981)
reported two records of this species from
Arkansas
, but given the known distribution at that time, they speculated that these records might be incidental records; accordingly,
Froeschner (1988)
listed the
Arkansas
record with a question mark. This species has now been reported from
Kansas
,
Missouri
, and
Oklahoma
so the records from
Arkansas
might very well be valid.
