Russia : SO , Sakhalin Island , Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk , Gagarin Park , 46.96N , 142.75E , 69 m alt., Acer pictum , 11.VII.2017 , 1 larva, NK624 , MK 403704 , deposited in INRA. Leaf mine. The mine and the leaf rolls are similar to those of C. acericola and C. gloriosa , however the mine of C. heringi is smaller and the folded leaf margin stage is often missing (instead larvae make a cone from the leaf tip right after vacating mine) ( Fig. 10G ). Trophic specialization. Monophagous on Acer pictum (Sapindaceae) ( Kumata 1966 ). Distribution. Russia : RFE—KK, PK ( Ermolaev 1977 ; Baryshnikova & Dubatolov, 2007 ; Baryshnikova 2008 , 2016), SO ( Sakhalin Island) ( new record ); Japan ( Kumata 1966 ).
