HABITAT .— Tropical subdeciduous forest. ELEVATION .— 250–400 meters. NOTES .— A description of Barleria oenotheroides was provided by Daniel (1995) . Plants reach their northernmost occurrence in eastern Mexico in Tamaulipas . Neotropical plants were previously known as B. micans Nees. The yellow corollas ( Fig. 1D ) turn purplish upon drying.
