Distribution. Specimens were examined from Bahamas , Cuba and Trinidad (USNM) and Dominican Republic (CNMH). Dear (1985) listed it from Bahamas , Cuba and Trinidad . Discussion. Shannon (1926) and Hall (1948) believed there are two species of this genus in the region. Dear (1985) concluded there is only one and authors claiming there are two species were relying on variable characters as part of intraspecific variation.
