Diagnostic characters:
—The Indian specimens are sterile, but can be readily identified by their greenish-gray, pseudocyphellate and sorediate upper surface, laminal, orbicular soralia, and the presence of usnic and lecanoric acids.
Distribution and Ecology:
—Pantropical, recorded from
Mexico

Peru

). In
India
it was previously thought to be restricted to the Western Himalaya (

).
Remarks:
