Extralimital distribution: Iran ( Farhad et al. 2016b ). Remarks: Trichrysis flavicornis Strumia & Dawah, 2019 was described from a single aberrant specimen, without mention of relevant diagnostic characters, and merely based on the unusual coloration. This is likely a case of rufinism or post-mortem alteration (see also Chrysis decolorata Strumia & Dawah, 2019 under Chrysis viridissima Mocsáry, 1912 , above). Both specimens were collected in the same Malaise trap on the same day and their altered colour may be the result of a climatic event or storage conditions.
