Remarks:
Byun and Bae (2001)
reported this species from
Korea
, based on seven specimens collected from Gangwon Province. However, the photograph of the adult and genitalia they provided in their paper were actually of
Ypsolopha contractella
, not of the true
Y. cristata
. We exclude their record and simultaneously reconfirm the distribution of
Y. cristata
in
Korea
with a new specimen found in the first author (JCS)’s private collection.
