Male genitalia with reduction in tegumen and associated structures; transtilla simple; valva with cucullus simplified and sacculus projected distally as a free point; neck of valva with a notch or smooth; phallus stout with a single long non-deciduous cornutus; vinculum divided into two arms, weakly fused distally. Female genitalia with sterigma simple, without sacks; bursa copulatrix with membranous accessory bursa/diverticulum; corpus bursae with acanthae arranged in groups (not in circle), but with no distinct signum; ductus seminalis connects to corpus bursae.
Diversity and Distribution.—The genus was described as monotypic to include
Aspinipogon bellus
Razowski and Becker, 2010
, from
Brazil
(
Razowski and Becker, 2010
). Herein we add a new species from
Bolivia
. The broad geographical range can be explained, in part, by the presence of unknown species not yet found.
