Diagnosis:
This species is similar to
E. purpurissatana
in forewing pattern and maculation, but
S. cyclotoma
can be distinguished by its longer postbasal spot and darker hindwing. It also can be separated by the shape of signum: a single prominent granulate patch in
E. purpurissatana
, a horn-shaped process in
S. cyclotoma
.
