Etymology.
Named after the outcrop of Avion, adding the suffix ‘-
biella
’, which is frequently used for the names of caloneurodean genera. Gender feminine.
Diagnosis.
Short ScP with apical end opposite fork of M ScP; veins CuA (+CuPaα) and CuPaβ well-separated at their apices; RA elongate but not reaching wing apex; RP with three branches; presence of several short veinlets emerging from apical part of CuA; length of portion of stem of RP basal to level of fork of M elongate; branches of RP and M with an anterior curvature.
