Kaijian Teng , Shurong Liu & Hua Rong , genitalia slide No. LiSR16281. Diagnosis. This species can easily be distinguished from its congeners by the columnar uncus and membranous semicircular gnathos. Description. Adult ( Fig. 7 ) with wing expanse 12.5 14.0 mm. Head with frons yellowish white, vertex yellowish brown. Labial palpus in male yellowish white, second segment with dense black scales on distal half ventrally. Antenna yellow, flagellum ringed with brown. Thorax and tegula brown. Forewing with costal margin slightly arched, termen oblique; brown, costal margin with a pale yellow spot at distal 1/5; discal and discocellular as well as plical spots blackish brown (worn); cilia dark brown. Hindwing and cilia gray. Legs yellow, tarsi blackish brown distally; tibia and tarsus of foreleg covered with pale brown scales on outer surface. Male genitalia ( Fig. 13 ). Uncus nearly columnar, slightly wider basally, narrow distally, sinuate apically. Gnathos membranous semicircular. Valva gradually widened from base to 1/3, subparallel from 1/3 to before bluntly rounded apex; with a tuft of strong setae ranging from basal 1/5 to 1/3, distal 2/3 with dense long hairs. Costa banded, distally narrowed, not reaching end of valva; transtilla strong, widened distally, truncate apically. Sacculus less than 1/4 length of valva, triangular, narrowed from base to 5/6, hooked in distal 1/6, pointing dorsad. Saccus triangular, narrowly round anteriorly. Juxta broadly U-shaped, narrowly banded; lateral lobes slightly widened distally, concave at middle apically. Aedeagus about 3/5 length of valva, basal 2/5 expanded, slightly narrowed medially; distal 1/3 divided into two sclerites: dorsal one fusiform, longer, ventral one rectangular; narrow heavily sclerotized plate from base between two lobes, produced to a strong curved thorn distally, reaching or slightly exceeding end of aedeagus. Female unknown. Distribution. China ( Yunnan ). Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin fusoideus , referring to the fusiform sclerite of the aedeagus.
