Diagnosis (Stål, 1877)
. General shape similar to
Euscyrtus
, but head elongated and usually narrow with long rostrum; eyes horizontally lengthened. Tegmina reaching up to the 4

to 7
th
abdominal segments, veins parallel, longitudinal; transverse veinlets forming square shaped areolae. Hind wings are short, not much longer than the tegmina.
