, led to the capture of these specimens.
HOST:
The majority of the specimens collected of this species were labeled as collected on sotol, genus
Dasylirion
sp. (
Asparagales
:
Asparagaceae
: Notinoideae). There are currently about 22 species of sotol, of which two are known from
Durango
:
D. durangense
Trel.
, and
D. simplex
Trel.
(WSCP 2018). This group of plants is native to
Mexico
, all have tough leaves with serrated edges that provide a natural defense.
