FIGURE 120. A. paenicarinus sp. nov. A, habitus; B, head, dorsal view; C, mesosoma, lateral view; D, head, lateral view; E, metasoma. Body length 3.8 mm , fore wing length 3.6 mm and antenna length 5.0 mm. Antenna with approximately 46 flagellomeres [intact one concealed beneath body]. Occipital carina broadly obliterated medially, joining hypostomal carina ventraly. Mesopleuron rugulose anterodorsally and along precoxal sulcus, otherwise largely aciculate, speculum moderately large. Midlongitudinal propodeal carina complete. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 2.7 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Fore wing vein 3-SR 2.7 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 1.3 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.25 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.2 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu represented by a short fold in membrane, virtually interstitial. Apex of hind tibia without comb of modified setae medially. Claws without conspicuous pecten. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite rounded and hardly produced. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite distnct on anterior 0.8 of tergum. Etymology. From Latin paene meaning ‘almost’ and carina in reference to the occipital carina. Notes. Keyed out twice because of possible ambiguity over scoring occipital carina.
