Length of body 5.0 mm, of fore wing 4.3 mm and of antenna 6.0 mm. Antenna with 45 flagellomeres. Occipital carina narrowly obliterated medially, its medial arms not angled anteriorly near obliteration. Mesopleuron largely aciculate, rugulose anterodorsally and along broad, weakly impressed precoxal sulcus, speculum absent. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.3 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell with distinct glabrous zone posteriorly. Hind Fore wing vein 3-SR 1.8 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 0.8 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.25 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.9 x 1-M. wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu represented by a pigmented fold, interstitial. Hind tibia with comb of setae apicomedially, though these not as modified as in some species. Claws with pecten of 7 or 8 long, fine, pale brown teeth on basal lobe, these splaying and distinctly separated, and the penultimate ones longest. Midlongitudinal propodeal carina complete. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite medium-sized, straight anteriorly, sharply concave posteriorly. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite distinct on anterior 0.6. Etymology. Latin for ‘ignomy’ because of its lack of clear distinguishing features.
