Median flagellomeres approximately 2.5 x longer than wide. Occipital carina complete and strong dorsally, ventrally curving towards mandible, not joining hypostomal carina. Mesopleuron largely aciculate, precoxal sulcus hardly impressed, faintly rugulose, speculum absent. Propodeum with midlongitudinal carina on anterior 0.5 only. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.5 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell with distinct glabrous zone. Fore wing vein 3-SR 1.95 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.2 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.3 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu short, faint, antefurcal. Apex of hind tibia with comb of specialised setae medially and ventrally, though these somewhat more separated than in most species with a comb. Claws without conspicuous pecten. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite moderately well developed, anteriorly rounded, posteriorly rather steep, making angle of approximately 45 degrees. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite distinct and complete. Etymology. Faciei is Latin for ‘shape’ in reference to the square shaped mark on the mesoscutum. Notes. A species with a distinctive colour pattern within the Thai fauna.
