Brusina 1893 : 202 (Serbian part), 36 (Italian part). Type horizon. Pannonian, zone D-E, late Miocene. Type locality. "Ripanj" , Serbia. Types. Milan et al. (1974: 95) indicated collection numbers for "syntypes" illustrated in Brusina (1902) , but it is uncertain whether the specimens were part of the original type series. They are stored in the Croatian Natural History Museum, Zagreb, coll. no. 2533-179/1-4. Remarks. The name " nesicii " as mentioned in Stepanovic (1938) is an incorrect subsequent spelling.
