In the Brazilian Northeast it is a pest of cashew and has been reported causing yellow chlorosis, and browning on leaves of Litchi sp. in São Paulo ( Sánchez-Soto & Nakano 2004 ). In the State of Mato Grosso do Sul ( Monteiro et al. 1999 ) it has been recorded damaging Eucalyptus , also guanandi ( Calophyllum brasiliense ) ( Fig. 137 ) and Liquidambar styraciflua ( Figs 128, 138 ), in the State of Paraná (Lima et al. 2016).
