This species has been collected on cacao and mango in many Pantropical regions, including
Brazil

). In the Brazilian Northeast it is a pest of cashew and has been reported causing yellow chlorosis, and browning on leaves of
Litchi
sp. in
São Paulo

Sánchez-Soto & Nakano 2004
). In the State of
Mato Grosso do Sul

) it has been recorded damaging
Eucalyptus
, also guanandi (
Calophyllum brasiliense
