: Canary Isles, Mediterranean basin, from southern France to Italy and former Yugoslavia, Crete, Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel, Egypt and Morocco; Switzerland in central Europe, Romania; Transcausasus and south-western parts of Asia (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan) to Afghanistan and Mongolia. In eastern parts of the Afrotropical region from Ethiopia south to S Africa.
