Comments: This species is similar to, and easily confused with S. ranunculi . It appears to be a principally western and northern species. In eastern North America, it has also been found in Michigan, Maine , and Ontario ( M. Arduser , unpublished). Minnesota specimens fall under the subspecies S. pecosensis pecosensis .
