Inwa Bum , near pass, 3020 m , 26°10’31.9”N 98°30’03.4”E , 4.x.2010 , leg. S. Naumann , holotype genitalia in glycerine vial ( MfN ). Etymology. The specific epithet is the latinised adjective of Myanmar . Diagnosis. The new species is closely similar to A. mishmicus Kimmins 1950 , described from Arunachal Pradesh , India , and A. barinael Malicky 2012 , described from Himachal Pradesh , India , based on male genitalia. Aplatyphylax myanmaricus spec. nov. differs from both species by the form of the intermediate appendages, the broad parameres, and the unique arrangement of patches of black spines on the posterior margin of tergum VIII. Description. Length of each forewings 12–13 mm . Head pale yellow-brown, eyes with short hairs, ocelli white, occipital and pronotal warts with long, recurved, yellow setae; palpi and antennae yellow-brown. Thorax and legs yellow-brown, foretibiae with ventral row of black spines, ventral groove on each femur corresponding to structure of tibia, praetarsus without ventral spines, spurs 0.2.2. Forewings yellow-brown, with scattered pale spots in the membrane ( Fig. 20 ); hind wings membranous; venation as in A. mishmicus . Male genitalia ( Figs 11A–11D ). Posterior margin of eight tergite roundly excavated, furnished with pair of patches of black spines, nearly meeting in middle of tergite. Segment IX convex on anterolateral margins and concave on posterior margins, lateral suture present. Superior appendages long and straight. Intermediate appendages shaped as rounded, black knobs with granulated surfaces. Inferior appendages long and rounded distally. Phallic apparatus with membranous aedeagus and pair of broad, sclerotized parameres.
