According to Ms Lisa Bartels (
CNC
), there are
26 syntypes
of
B. fulvus
housed in the Hull collection; Hull stated at the end of the published description that there were
14 male
and
15 female
cotypes, in addition to the
holotype
and
allotype
, suggesting the subsequent destruction of three specimens.
There
are no specimens in the
USNM
, (
Chris Thompson
, pers. comm.) despite the fact that
Hull
clearly stated that “
Cotypes
will be deposited in the
United States
National Museum.”]
