Adult female, pupa and larva
. Unknown.
Remarks.
Adults of
Labrundinia fera
can easily be separated from all other
Labrundinia
species by its abdominal coloration; tergite VI–VIII each with a transverse band and hypopygium brown in apical ½.
Labrundinia fera
has been recorded only from its
type
locality in
Colombia
. The adults were collected in the area of Laguna
Mozambique
, which is characterized by the presence of
Scirpus cubensis
and
Pastalum repens
along the shore and pH around 4.5. The larvae from this area described in Roback could not be associated with the adults here described, thus we regard the immatures of
L. fera
as unknown.
