Identification
. The head is white with a black longitudinal stripe in the middle of the forehead. The ears are white with a black base, and there are black marks around the eyes. The dorsal fur is black (

). The distinctive white and black markings on the head easily distinguish this species from other sympatric didelphids (
Astúa 2015
;
Tirira 2017
).
