( Figs 1–3 ) Diagnosis. This species can be easily distinguished from other Troglocollops by the following characters: pronotum yellow with a black and longitudinal stripe in the middle; elytra black with blue metallic lustre and yellow apices ( Fig. 1a ); antennomere 1 somewhat smaller than 3 ( Fig. 1b ); endophallus with five strong spines and two groups of small spines near apex ( Figs 2c–d ). Description. Male. Length of body 3.3–4.2 mm , width at widest part of elytra 1.6–1.9 mm and at the base of elytra 1.2–1.5 mm . Head black with greenish blue metallic lustre, antennae and mouthparts mostly yellow. Pronotum yellow with a black and greenish blue metallic lustre stripe in the middle. Elytra black with blue metallic lustre and yellow apices. Scutellar shield black with the same blue metallic lustre as elytra.Anterior and middle legs yellow with black coxae; posterior legs black with tibiae and tarsi yellow. Surface of body evenly covered with fine, adpressed, white hairs; temple and elytra additionally with sparse, erect, black setae ( Fig. 1a ). Prosternum black, vesicles yellowish brown, thoracic mesepimera black. FIGURE 1. Troglocollops ( Troglocollopsoides ) sinicus Tong & Yang sp. nov. , holotype, male: a dorsal view, b antenna, c head, frontal view. Scale bars: a : 1 mm; b–c : 0.5 mm. Head slightly narrower than pronotum. Frons with large but shallow impression in the interocular area, and a transversal protuberance near the middle ( Fig. 1c ). Clypeus narrow, transverse, straight. Labrum short, suboval, transverse. Antennae yellow with a small black spot at apex, evenly covered by short, white, semi-erect pubescence; antennomere 1 and 3 larger than all remaining antennomeres; 1 elongate; 2 small and almost completely hidden by 1; 3 strongly dilated, distinctly larger than 1; 4–11 subcylindrical and evenly sinuate at apex ( Fig. 1b ). Pronotum transverse, 1.4× wider than long, densely punctured, sparsely and finely pubescent, with smooth microsculpture between punctures; anterior margin slightly convex; all angles rounded and posterior ones obliquely truncate; posterior part impressed near base. Scutellar shield short and transverse, almost hidden by pronotum. Elytra oblong, slightly wider than pronotum at base, shining, with punctures sparse but distinct, and with double pubescence, sparse black bristles, and very fine, white, adpressed hairs; shoulders distinct but not protruding; apices evenly rounded, simple. Hind wings normally developed. Legs of moderate size. Posterior femora not reaching elytral apices. Tibiae thin, almost straight, those cross section rounded. All tarsi with 5 tarsomeres; tarsomere 2 of the anterior tarsi with comb extending over the segment; in all legs, tarsomere 5 longest, somewhat longer than combined length of tarsomeres 1 and 2 in anterior and middle legs, and of same length as these in posterior legs; claws narrow, with small lamella at base. Ventral surface of abdomen densely punctured, with sparse, white, adpressed pubescence. Metathorax simple, lacking appendages. Pygidium transverse, with a triangular emargination at apex ( Fig. 2a ); ultimate abdominal ventrite equilaterally triangular, evenly flexed and narrowed apically ( Fig. 2b ). Tegmen elongate, with wide apodemes; aedeagus rounded apically; endophallus with five strong spines and two groups of small spines near apex ( Figs 2c–d ). FIGURE 2. Troglocollops ( Troglocollopsoides ) sinicus Tong & Yang sp. nov. , holotype, male: a pygidium, b ultimate abdominal ventrite, c aedeagus with tegmen and spicular forc, lateral view, d aedeagus with tegmen and spicular forc, ventral view. Scale bars: a–d : 0.2 mm. Female. Similar to male species except for head lacking depression, antennae simple, and fore-tarsi without comb ( Fig. 3a ). Pygidium sub-trapezoid with pair of short lateral struts anteriorly, apical margin emarginate ( Fig. 3b ). Ultimate abdominal ventrite divided, with long spiculum ventrale ( Fig. 3c ). Ovipositor elongate and membranous ( Fig. 3d ). Length of body 4.5 mm , width at widest part of elytra 2.1 mm and at the base of elytra 1.6 mm . Material examined.
