Eremanthus pandurifolius Baker (1873: 162) . Type :— BRAZIL . No other data, Tamberlik s.n. ( holotype : W e ! [ W0016692 ]). Distribution and habitat: — Brazil ( Goiás , Mato Grosso , Mato Grosso do Sul and Minas Gerais ). Cerrado; 500– 800 m . Taxonomic Notes: —Known only from three locations at the time of MacLeish’s revision (1987), later recorded several times. Nevertheless, its distribution appears highly fragmented and each population fairly isolated. Similar to Eremanthus auriculatus and E. glomerulatus in the overall aspect, but easily recognized by its prominent secondary bracts and total fusion of capitula. Representative specimens: — BRAZIL .
