Steineri
Complex
Two species comprise the
Steineri
Complex:
H. steineri
, and
H. concepcionica
. These are medium sized species (ca.
1.49–1.52 mm
), which have coarse and dense dorsal punctation, lack a pronotal scintilla, and have similarly shaped metaventral plaques (
Figs. 118–119
). The male genitalia in this complex are comparatively simplified, rather wide in lateral aspect, the main piece with a more or less developed, raised ridge on the ventral surface, and the gonopore is located at the end of a long flexible flagellum (
Figs. 120–121
). The currently known species are from
Bolivia
(
H. steineri
) and
Paraguay
(
H. concepcionica
).
