This species is widespread in Central China ( Lin, 2015 , 2017 ; Lin & Tavakilian, 2019). Based on a series of specimens collected from Shaanxi and Zhejiang , including type pictures of both taxa, we propose that Falsomesosella taibaishana Lazarev, 2021 is a new synonym of Falsomesosella truncatipennis Pic, 1944 . Lazarev (2021) compared his taxon with F. gracilior from Japan and F. horishana from Taiwan of China , while ignoring the F. truncatipennis Pic, 1944 which had been recorded from Shaanxi by Lin (2015 , 2017 ).
