Diagnosis:
This species is distinguished by the white vertex and thorax; the bilobed, narrowly separated uncus which is vertically-curved ventrally at the middle; and the elongate valva with the posterior half broad and nearly quadrate.

Description.
Male
Head.
Vertex roughly covered with dense, erect pale white scales, frons pale brown. Antenna filiform, smooth, yellowish brown, length

, slightly shorter than forewing; scape smoothscaled. Compound eyes large. Maxillary palpus yellowish brown. Labial palpus blackish brown laterally, covered with apical bristles on the second segment.
Thorax.
Dorsum smooth with dense white scales; tegula white except anterior black margin. Foreleg extensively covered with dark brown scales; mid-leg pale brown; hindleg pale white; hind tibia bearing dense long pale white hairs. Forewing (

, elongate, with apex rounded, ground color pale creamy white, costa with faint irregular black streak from base to near apex, dilated in middle where it reaches 1/3 across wing. A narrow and indistinct black streak along termen from dorsum beyond middle to apex. Fringe short, black around apex, long, pale creamy white at termen. Hindwing relatively elongate with pointed apex, ground color brownish gray.
Abdomen
. Dorsum pale gray; venter with grayish; eighth abdominal segment with dense slender pale white scales covering genitalia. Male genitalia (

) with uncus bilobed, elongate triangular, lobes narrowly separated, vertically-curved ventrally at middle, with apex narrow and pointed, well-sclerotized. Gnathos absent. Subscaphium poorly developed, membranous. Tegumen and vinculum fused into a ring, very narrow.
Juxta absent. Saccus elongate, rod-shaped, about 1.4 × length of valva. Valva simple, elongate with posterior half broad and nearly quadrate, inner surface weakly sclerotized with dense long setae. Aedeagus nearly straight, about 1.8 × length of valva; apex with a pointed process slightly curved ventrally; vesica with cornuti consisting of mass of thick spines.

Remarks.
This species is distributed widely from
India
to New
Guinea
and newly recorded from south
China
. The male genitalia are quite different from those of
T. melanochrysa
and
T. gladiata
,
especially the shape of the uncus. Although the gnathos may be absent in the latter, based on its shape and position,
the slender ventral process of the genitalia in this species may represent a greatly reduced gnathos,
