Diagnosis.
Leptonetela kanellisi
is similar to
L. flabellaris
sp. nov.
, but can be distinguished by the presence of five spines on the retrolateral surface of palpal tibia, with the basal one strong, conspicuous, distally curved, clawshaped (

); the palm-shaped median apophysis, and the presence of seven small teeth on the distal part of median apophysis in the male (
Figs 16B

).
Description.
Male (
holotype
):
total length 2.40 (

). Prosoma 0.96 long, 0.80 wide. Opisthosoma 1.25 long, 1.0 wide. Sternum 0.60 long, 0.50 wide. Prosoma yellowish, appendages slightly darker. Without eyes. Median groove, cervical groove and radial furrows indistinct. Clypeus 0.10 high, slightly sloped anteriorly. Chelicera (
Fig. 19C
) stubby, dark yellow, with nine promarginal teeth, the basal one largest and five small retromarginal teeth. Endites and labium dark yellow. Sternum and legs yellowish. Leg measurements: I 7.20 (1.90, 0.25, 2.20, 1.75, 1.10); II 6.51 (1.78, 0.25, 1.78, 1.44, 0.85); III 5.80 (1.68, 0.24, 1.44, 1.34, 0.76); IV 7.05 (1.82, 0.24, 1.92, 1.68, 0.96). Leg formula: I-IV-II-III. Femur I with two spines prolaterally (position 0.5 and 0.75), one spine retrolaterally (0.5). Femur II with two spines dorsally (0.5 and 0.75). Tibia I II IV with two spines dorsally (0.5 and 0.75), tibia III with one spine dorsally (0.5). Male palp (

): tibia with four trichobothria dorsally and five spines retrolaterally, with the basal one strong, conspicuous, distally curved, claw-shaped; tarsus with five long spines distally. Tip of the bulb (

Female (one of the
paratypes
):
similar to male in coloration and general features, but with a larger body size and longer legs. Total length 2.87 (

). Prosoma 1.30 long, 0.95 wide. Opisthosoma 1.55 long, 1.15 wide. Sternum 0.56 long, 0.55 wide. Clypeus 0.12 high. Leg measurements: I 9.68 (2.70, 0.30, 2.87, 2.32, 1.50); II 7.85 (2.15, 0.30, 2.20, 1.95, 1.25); III 7.38 (1.92, 0.26, 1.95, 1.25, 1.00); IV 8.05 (2.40, 0.30, 2.20, 1.85, 1.30). Internal genitalia (
