Imago (fig. 14): Wingspan 22 mm . Head whitish, maxillary palpus tufted, labial palpus blackish 1.5× diameter of eye. Thorax and tegulae whitish. Forewing ground colour creamy white, a black subbasal spot near dorsum, pale fuscous double curved antemedian fascia, outer line blackish in middle, lunule white, postmedian fascia also curved, double, a further curved fascia beyond, terminal area with some pale fuscous suffusion especially near costa, an irregular subterminal line enclosing a whitish area towards apex, terminal line fuscous, a fuscous line in fringe. Hindwing with double antemedian fascia conspicuous, a further fuscous fascia matching forewing markings. Male genitalia: not known. Female genitalia: not examined. Diagnosis: Distinguished by the white area on the forewing close to the subterminal line. Derivation: Named after the type locality Vumba { Bvumba } in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe . Life history: not known. Type material: Holotype Vumba Mts , Umtali Dist. 7 & 10.iii.1976 D.M. Kroon ( TMSA ).
