Hosts : This species is a serious local pest of Malus sp. ( Rosaceae ) in India ; it has been reared in September from larvae boring in fruits. Larvae are polyphagus on fruit trees and other plants, including Acacia nilotica (Fabaceae) , Cydonia oblonga , Malus pumila , Prunus persica (Rosaceae) , Coffea liberica (Rubiaceae) , and Citrus (Rutaceae) ( Meyrick 1920 , 1936; Flecther 1932; Janjua 1940 ; Mathur et al . 1958 ; Verma 1988 ; Bhardwaj & Chandler 1993; Bhagat et al . 1994 ; Sharma et al . 2005 ).
