Crotalaria cambodiensis Phon (1981: 112) . Type :— CAMBODIA . Battambang , 23 October 1927 , Poilane 14362 ( holotype P022974495 !). Herb, erect, 17–35 cm high; young branches terete, brown pubescent. Leaves simple. Stipules narrowly linear, 1–2 mm long, brown pubescent, caducous. Petioles 0.3–1.3 mm long. Lamina oblong, 0.4–2.3 × 0.1–0.3 cm , base cuneate or obtuse, apex acute or obtuse,margin entire, brown puberulous upper,brown pubescent lower; lateral veins inconspicuous. Inflorescences terminal or leaf-opposed, capitate racemes, 1–2 cm long; peduncle 2–12 mm long, brown pubescent. Bracts narrowly linear, 1.5–2 mm long, persistent. Pedicels 2–4 mm long, brown pubescent. Bracteoles inserted on the calyx tube, narrowly linear, 2–3 mm long, persistent. Calyx 5–6 mm long, campanulate, bilabiate; tube 1–2 mm long; lobes triangular, ca. 4 mm long, glabrous inside, brown pubescent outside. Corolla yellow. Standard : claw ca. 1 mm long, white tomentose above and along the margin, glabrous below; blade ovate, ca. 4 × 2.5 mm , base obtuse, apex obtuse, margin glabrous. Wings : claw ca. 0.5 mm long, glabrous; blade lanceolate, ca. 3.5 × 1.2 mm , base oblique, apex obtuse, margin glabrous. Keel : claw ca. 1 mm glabrous; blade ovate, ca. 3.5 × 1.8 mm , beak spirally twisted, base cuneate, apex attenuate, margin glabrous. Stamens : filaments fused for proximal 1.8–2 mm , free for distal 1–1.3 mm ; anthers either narrowly linear, 0.5–0.7 mm long or elliptic, 0.2–0.3 mm long. Ovary sessile, oblong, ca. 1.5 mm long, glabrous; style ca. 2.7 mm long, adaxially white pubescent in a single line along the distal edge, abaxially glabrous. Pods sessile, elliptic, 5–7 × 2.5–3 mm , brown, glabrous. Seeds reniform, 1.8–2 × 1.2–1.5 mm , brown. Distribution: —Asia ( Cambodia ). ( Figure 7 ). Ecology: —Elevation ca. 156 m . Notes: Crotalaria cambodiensis is only known from the type specimen. It is distinguished by its capitate inflorescences, the ovate standard and the ovary and pods which are sessile.
