Fig. 57 Rhyncogonus planidorsis Broun, 1910: 296 . DESCRIPTION. — This species has the general facies of P. insularis but is on average quite a bit larger. Stria 5 is wider and more convex than 6 near the top of the declivity. The aedeagus is more than 4 x longer than wide at the narrowest point between base and sides of the ostial area, and the apex is long. The spermatheca is like Thompson’s (1982) fig. 12 of P. septentrionalis but with a longer duct extension. Length: 4.3-6.5 mm . TYPE MATERIAL . — Described from a unique specimen. Holotype male, 4.8 x 2.3 mm , 22, Rhyncogonus planidorsis Broun, BMNH. Identified non-type specimens with BPBM , IRSN , NZAC . MATERIAL EXAMINED . — Kermadec Is. : Meyer I. , Sunday I. 60 specimens .
