by having the mandible with teeth wide; the clypeus short and rounded; the antennal scrobe carinate; the eye small; the pronotal disc with its transverse pronotal carina striate; the notaulus wide and striate; the mesopleuron with the lower fovea and mesopleural suture closed; the paramere club-shaped and distinctly longer than the basiparamere; the basivolsella with an inner marginal excavation; the cuspis ventral arm with a basal projection; and the apical portion of the aedeagus wide, whereas
A. olivaceus
has the mandible with narrow teeth; the clypeus angulate and long; the antennal scrobe carinate, but weak; the eye large; the transverse pronotal carina not striate; the notaulus very narrow; the mesopleuron with the lower fovea and mesopleural suture opened; the genitalia with the paramere rounded and longer than the basiparamere; the basivolsella straight; the cuspis ventral arm without a basal projection; and the aedeagus with the apical portion slender.
