S. gracilis
is known above all from the western and central part of the Mediterranean region.
Taxonomic and nomenclatural notes. The specimens examined agree with the well known species
S. gracilis
in all diagnostic characters. However,
Israeli
populations are widely disjunct from the known range of the species, thus requiring further studies.
