Zhang leg., slide 6138-1 ; 1 male , Prov. Yunnan , Longba , 26.vi.2013 , H.L. Han & C. Zhang leg., slide 6140-1 ; 2 males , Prov. Yunnan , Wanding , 25.vi.2013 , H.L. Han & C. Zhang leg., slide 6139-1, 6141-1, coll. NEFU . Diagnosis. Stenoloba brunnescens ( Fig. 17 ) is similar to S . plumbeoviridis and S . plumbeobrunnea described above, being the representative of S . clara species group. Externally it differs from other members of the group by its dark reddish-brown colouration of forewing, without green or olive-greenish shining. The male genitalia ( Fig. 44 ) also refer to its affinity with the taxa of the S . clara group by the shape of valva with swelling in the medial part. The closest species to S . brunnescens is newly described S . plumbeobrunnea , from which the former differs by narrower and less curved valva with shorter but broader apical part, directed distally. The female genitalia (illustrated by Kononenko & Ronkay, 2000 ) differ mostly from those of the related taxa by their much broader antrum with significantly longer postero-lateral arms. Distribution. Southwest China (Prov. Yunnan ), North Vietnam . Moths were collected in April and June. The species formerly was known from North Vietnam only; hereby it is recorded for China for the first time. New data considerable extend the distribution pattern of S . brunnescens .
