Remarks.
Polynoe
(
Eunoa
)
acanellae
Verrill, 1881
was referred to
Harmothoe
(
Hermadion
)
acanellae
by
Pettibone (1963)
. Our examination of the
type
material showed that the generic characters of this species correspond to those given by
Loshamn (1981)
for his new genus
Neopolynoe
. The generic diagnosis is emended especially for the number of segments and the presence of a supra-acicular process.
