( Figs. 1–11 ) Diagnosis . Body brown. Mesonotum entirely brown. Mid tibia shorter than fore tibia. Cercus rather large, nearly as long as epandrium, bilobed apically. Description. MALE. Body length 2.8 mm , wing length 2.7–2.8 mm . Head brown, covered with pale pruinosity; face and gena pale yellowish brown. Vestiture on head dark brown. Antennae dark brown; arista long, black. Proboscis and palpus brown. Thorax brown with pale pruinosity; scutellum with yellowish brown margin. All setae dark brown. Legs ( Figs. 1–4 ) brownish yellow, with black vestiture. Mid tibia shorter than fore tibia. Fore femur apically with 2 ad, 1 d, 1 pd, 1 av and 1 pv; fore tibia with 1 short d at base, 1 ad and 1 pd at middle, apically with 1 short d, 1 pv and 1 pd. Fore tarsomere 3 with 7 small ventral spines; tarsomere 5 with 6 short setae. Mid femur with 1 ad at basal 2/5, apically with 1 a, 1 d, 1 av and 1 pv; mid tibia with 1 short d at base, 1 ad and 1 pd at middle, apically with 1 preapical ad, 1 preapical av, 1 d, 1 short av and 1 pv. Hind femur apically with 2 ad, 1 av, 1 d, 1 pv and 1 pd; hind tibia basally with 1 short d, 1 ad and 1 pd at middle, apically with 1 preapical ad, 2 short preapical av and 1 d. Hind tarsomere 1 with 1 slightly long av and 1 pv at extreme base, apically with 1 av and 1 pv. Wing pale yellowish brown; veins brown, with dorsal setulae except Sc and R2+3; a row of longer setulae at base of C. Relative lengths of M1+2:M2 = 42:67. Halter brown with yellowish brown stem. Abdomen dark brown, covered with pale pruinosity, but brownish ventrally. Vestiture on abdomen black. Sternite 3 ( Fig. 5 ) with a large semicircular mid-posterior incision. Tergite 8 small, triangular. Male genitalia ( Figs. 6–11 ): Epandrium longer than broad, with dense long lateral setulae posteriorly. Cercus rather large, nearly as long as epandrium, bilobed apically, with two rows of short setulae on basal 1/2 at middle, and with long lateral setulae and very long apical setulae (longest setulae nearly as long as cercus). Aedeagus long and thick basally, shallowly incised apically. Gonopod weakly incised posteriorly, with 2 short spines at posterolateral corner. Paramere short and thick, with 2 outer setulae at middle. FEMALE. Unknown. Type material . Holotype male, Guangxi: Shangsi, Pinglongshan, 1. IX. 2006 , Yinxia Liao. Paratype 1 male , same locality as holotype , 22. V. 2006 , Yinxia Liao. Distribution. Known only from the type locality in Guangxi. Etymology . The species is named after the type locality in Pinglongshan. Remarks . The new species is somewhat similar to L. nigrociliata Duda from Poland , but it can be separated from the latter by the male cercus rather long, nearly as long as the epandrium. In L. nigrociliata , the male cercus is rather short, about 1/2 as long as the epandrium ( Smith, 1969 ).
