Description. Male.
Body oval, strongly convex dorsally, shiny, closely covered with yellowish-white setae. Coloration of head, pronotum, scutellar shield, elytra, and ventral part of thorax black; antennae, legs, elytral maculations, and abdominal ventrites yellowish-brown; elytral maculations consisting of two pairs of oblong spots and oblique zigzag stripe, forming semicircular.
Head large, flat dorsally, finely punctate; eyes large, prominent; the distance between eyes about 2.9 times as long as the maximum diameter of an eye. Antennae (antennomeres X and XI missing in
holotype
) slightly serrate in antennomeres IV–IX. Pronotum transverse, slightly convex dorsally, punctate as in head; anterior margin straight; lateral and posterior margins gently arcuate; antero- and posterolateral corners obtuse;

Remarks.
This is species is distinct in having unique elytral maculations (unicolored or with simple spots in the elytra of the other species of this genus) and anchor-shaped ventral projection.

The species name is given for Dr. Hiroaki Kojima (TUA) who is a specialist of
Curculionidae
and the collector of the
holotype
.
