Mielkeanthidium can be recognized by the following combination of characters: presence of a juxtantennal carinae; omaular carina extending to ventral region of the mesepisternum; base of propodeum with row of pits; arolia present in male, reduced in female; male middle femur with long hairs on the internal surface; male hind coxa with densely setose area; male S4 with two small median areas with short and thick setae; male S4-S5 with lateral spine-like projections; and male T7 bilobed.
