Etymology
: The species name,
carpinicola
, is derived from the genus name of the host plant (
Carpinus
) and the Latin suffix ‘-cola’ (dweller, inhabitant).
Diagnosis
: This species is close to
M.

in having similar coloration and Cu1b of forewing dark bordered. However, the new species can be distinguished from
