Characterized by the compact stems bearing long-creeping proliferous roots, very short or absent petioles, small (less than 4 cm long) flabellate leaves that are incised at the tip, and free, dichotomously forked veins. Sori elongate, without indusia, along the distal portion of veins. Not easily confused with any other fern from the area. Distribution and habitat. Neotropical. Epiphytic in forests.
