Shipp described S. poultoni from the Oxford Collection (now Oxford University Museum of Natural History), but the majority of his type material was deposited at The Walter Rothschild Private Museum, Tring, Hertfordshire, and was subsequently sold to René Oberthür, and is now in the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle, Paris, France .
