Himatidium sanguineum

; HT! in BMNH!).
Remarks.
This species was synonymized with
D. rubiginosa
by
SPAETH (1917)
, however, the synonymy was made upon primary description only. I have studied the
holotype
of
D. sanguinea
and found that the species is very different, having an oval body with broadly explanated margins (circular with narrow margins in
D. rubiginosa
) thus it is removed from synonymy of the latter, and its species status is restored here.
BOROWIEC (1996)
provided new faunistic records for
D. sanguinea
(
Champion, 1894
)
, however, these specimens actually belong to
D. rubiginosa
.
Distribution.
