The range of this species extends from Nova Scotia (Majka et al. 2007: 9) to central British Columbia (Lindroth 1968: 735), south to southeastern Arizona (Greenlee County, MCZ), southern New Mexico (Grant County, USNM), western Texas (Jeff Davis County, Ken Karns pers. comm. 2009), and southern New Jersey (Cape May County, MCZ). The record from North Carolina (Brimley 1938: 122, as Amara polita ) is probably in error. Three old specimens labeled from Brownsville in southeastern Texas (USNM) are known. Records.
